Synesthesia One: Tonal Centers
PJ Tracy
PJ Tracy is an Emmy-winning composer, pianist and painter who sees music as color and form. His visual music has been shown at the Walker Art Center, the Boston Visual Music Marathon and The Hague Film Festival, and is in the permanent collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Casoria Center for Contemporary Art, Naples.
Synesthesia One: Tonal Centers gathers his twenty-four audiovisual sculptures, one for each major and minor key, into an experience traveled by harmonic relationship: by fifths, into parallel and relative keys, and rarely across the tritone. Between pieces, his paintings surface in the dark, and no two journeys are alike.
